Please accept a "Semper Fi!" from a Marine Dad, 1 each.

My son's platoon of AMTRACers (3rd PLT, Alpha CO, 4th AAVBN) left about ten days ago for their third trip to Iraq -- as infantry. It was awfully hard for him to watch the bus doors close as they departed. He's medically retired now; always a Corporal of Marines.

I pray that you and your mates return in a few months with all of your "original equipment manufacturer" parts.

Semper fi and God bless, Accord.
Come home with all your original parts still attached and in working condition.

I am out here somewhere with one of the MEFs now. For an old Army guy who is the son of Marine it is a little refreshing. Jarheads are great so long as you don't try to have any spelling contests. :D Seriously though, A-stan is too cold this time of the year so dress for the weather.

So when you were still a MEU(SOC) were you riding the big deck or one of the smaller ones? If it was the big deck I'm on it and I'll miss seeing you guys on our ride across, hey, at least you're not the only one whose deployment schedule got jacked around, much fun here, it changes every day!
