Very nice! The 3” K frame checks so many boxes for me that it is just about the perfect revolver for ccw.



My sole 3” K frame is a 13-3 .357. It has some transferred mystique since it is like the old FBI issue guns, but it doesn’t have anywhere near the cool factor that your custom pinto has .

it’s quite impossible (for me anyway) to find a decent gunsmith who does good work on revolvers for a decent price. does this boise gunsmith take in work from out of state revolver owners i wonder?

That revolver is - in my not so humble - opinion the perfect concealment revolver. I have one quite similar, except it hasn't been finished yet. I might have some self aggrandizing engraving done on it.

Seriously, find some decent full charge (but not round nose) ammo for 'urgent' moments and have fun in the meanwhile.

I like the old FBI load. 158 grain lead SWC hollow point. Mass maintains more than velocity.

I shot it once, and it shot well. I pulled the barrel off of it and sent the barrel to a friend in AZ to have the caliber engraved on it. He has had several serious illnesses since then so it is on the back burner.
