I have some load data for cast bullet reloads, but the data is not exact to what I have (lists another mold# and slightly different weight by 1 grain).
Anyhow, here is what I propose:
Rifle: 1956 Vintage Winchester 94 with 20" barrel in 30-30.
Projectiles: 150gr FP lead bullets sized at .309 with a bevel base, supposedly rated at 1200-1400 fps that are "hard" cast per the guy casting them. I don't have a hardness tester so I don't know. I am assuming they are not soft lead, they don't dent with my fingernail.
Load: I propose to use 7gr Unique. Any guesses what velocity a 150gr bullet and no gas check would run?
The bullets in question came from here: http://magnusbullets.com/store/page3.html
I hope to not lead the barrel, but most importantly blow up the gun or myself.
I will be very, very, careful NOT TO DOUBLE CHARGE!
