Got word yesterday my 30 cal can was approved, will pick it up in a week or so. Ten months. Sure hope it shoots as nice as I remember it looking like it would shoot.

Will post pics.

Which can?

I'm very satisfied with my Gemtech HVT-QD, although I use it the most on my 7.62x39 AR.

YHM titanium QD.
I don't have any personal experience with that specific can, but I've heard a lot of good things about it. Congratulations! If this is your first silencer it definitely won't be your last, these things are addicting for sure!

Congrats. I hope that my stamp comes through soon. I'm coming up on 4 1/2 months on an E-File. Same can as yours, YHM 7.62 QD titanium Phantom. Nice piece.

I have this suppressor. It's the only 1 I own and it get's used on all my AR-type guns. I was somewhat disappointed at first until I realized just how LOUD a bullet is when it breaks the sound barrier. Once you are able to seperate the supersonic crack from the muzzle blast, you will also realize the suppressor does an AWESOME job of muffling the blast.

My 308 AR with full-house loads sounds like an unsuppressed 22LR.

I will add that to prevent your suppressor from seizing on the mount, you can tighten it up til it stops turning, then back it off one click on the ratchet mechanism. There will be a slight amount of "wiggle" but it has no effect on accuracy or suppression in my experience. I had mine seize up one time and had to remove the adapter from the barrel and put it in a vise to get the suppressor loose.

Even though it's "loose" the ratchet mechanism does a very good job of keeping the suppressor from backing off. I think perhaps I tightened mine up some more while it was hot and then when it cooled there was no getting it loose. You can put a match mark on your suppressor and adapter with a regular pencil so you can verify it hasn't backed off. This way you won't grab it while hot and get burned.
