.30 Carbine

I think the M1 is one of the funnest guns to shoot of any I have ever owned or shot.

It's a shame that the ammo for them is so much more expensive than the 7.62X39 ammo, cause my M1 sets around a lot while the SKS's get shot 2 or 3 times a week until the days get shorter. But the M1 just has those sweet peep sights and you can really get the tin cans jumping! :)

Taurus is making a DA revolver in this caliber and yes there was a lever action Marlin in 30 carbine(model 62?)

Ruger and Taurus revolvers
Enforcer pistol
AMT/Galena Automag III
Hezi SM-1

Those are about all I know of. Nothing is more addicting than those little carbines though.

I gotta look for one of those lever guns now...

If I can get enough ahead of the bills, I'm gonna get one of those Ruger Blackhawks in .30 Carbine.

Since there are a lot of pistol-calibre carbines (Ruger PC-9/40, Hi-Points, Beretta Storm, Marlin/Rossi/Winny lever guns, etc), it would be a real "hoot" to have a carbine-calibre pistol/revolver.

Then, of course, ya GOTTA have an M1 Carbine, for ammo simplicity. :D

Of course, Thompson Center made a 30 carbine barrel...they are indeed hard to come by and somewhat pricey....you can do a real number with one of those babies...make that 30 carbine shine with some H-110/296....

Foghorn, you'll love the .30 Blackhawk.

On hot, humid days with H110 reloads, a little on the warm side, it's got a muzzle flash that'll remind you of a M-N 44.

I really like the round, within certain parameters. The Tavor always looked interesting, but without a good supply of surplus .30 carbine at a better price than we have...hey, it's never been as cheap as any other US military round on the surplus market, at least in my memory...I'm content with my Blackhawk and that IBM or Rock-Ola carbine I'm looking for still.

Regards,

Rabbit.

AMT is out of business (I own an Automag III), and Taurus quit making the "Raging Thirty". I believe Ruger still makes the .30 Blackhawk, which I also own. Olympic Arms has an upper in .30 carbine in their catalog, although I have never seen one.

You get lots of attention at the range - lots of noise and flame from the .30 carbine handguns.
