Florida Gun Works is selling 30-round CETME mags, expensive but a unique item. Will these things fit an HK91? I am under the impression that CETME magazines will work in an HK91, though the obverse might not be true. Correct? Anyone have any experience with CETME or HK91/G3 30-round mags?

cetme mags

None of the cetme mags I have wiill work in my HK and the 30 round hk mags I have won't work in the cetmes, but 20 hk mags work fine in the cetme.

First off, do your research on Florida Gun Works.

2nd, the 30s are not military issue and are of dubious quality. Stick with actual military surplus 20 round German G3 or Spanish Cetme mags for best results.

If you don't want to research FGW, just stay the hell away from them. They're snake oil salesmen of the first order.

There are 30 round original issue steel Cetme mags out there. They seem to generally fit between 27 and 30 rounds. They are fairly rare. I have four of them. They are slightly curved. They are a tight fit in the PTR. They also tend to rust very easily

That is what they were advertised as, original military CETME 30 rounders. Florida Gun Works may be a horrible business but at least from the picture offered and the description of the magazine, it seemed like the real thing to me and not one of the cobbled-together frauds that pass for G3 30-rounders (like the kind they sell on CTD for 15 bucks.) This curved 30-round CETME mag cost 79 dollars, and I ordered it on an impulse.

I didn't know at the time that Florida Gun Works had such a horrible reputation, but they were the ONLY source I could find for this type of magazine. (And from everything I have read in the past few hours, it seems that they DO fit in an HK91.)

I'm willing to put up with a long waiting time for this magazine - it's quite rare and there may not be many more opportunities to get one like it, if there are mag capacity bans in the future. I bought it as much as a collector's item as for the functionality.

But if FGW doesn't EVER ship the mag to me, or does not respond to my emails - I'm going after them, through the Florida business bureau if I have to. Some people have reported stuff about them on "rip-off report," have talked about how they had to call their credit card companies to cancel, and some have said they've reported FGW to the Florida BBB. Well, if it turns out they've burned me, I will do everything in my power to put that company out of business.

Florida Gun Works has been ripping off and pissing off people for years. I'm sure your not the first one who wanted to put them out of business, yet here they are still in business.

Watch your credit card statements and be prepared to cancel your card.

I have a 30 round mag I got a few years ago from some catalog outfit. Made of steel, seems sturdy and I think it was $15. Don't know who made it but it does fit my genuine H&K 91.
