Just got off the phone. They said they've been completely swamped with Life Member upgrades and that "they were told" the backlog was about 3 weeks. I said my packet was sent Priority Mail and received January 28, and she said to give it another week and call back because she has no information at this time.
(I'm guessing it's just a mail backlog so there's no way their computer system could tell anything.)
But really, the information on her screen is the same as what www.nramemberservices.org has, so calling might be a waste of time. I guess people could continue to check that site to see if their status says "Life."
At the end of the call, out of sheer curiosity I asked if she knew the current number of NRA Members and was told 4.3 Million.
