.308 Winchester AR-10 rifle questions ???

I have been wanting an AR based .308 Winchester caliber rifle for a while. The Obama scare prices sorta put the brakes on a purchase. I would probably use it for hunting and target shooting. I would also scope it. My price range is around $1100 - $1200 tops. I am considering the RRA LAR-8 , DPMS LR 308, Bushmaster .308 and maybe an Armalite AR-10. I prefer an 18 - 20 inch barrel with a flattop receiver. Any and all advice and experiences appreciated. Photos welcomed too...................................TIA

I've had an LR 308 (24" bbl) for about a year and a half (just before the Obama scare). Changed the stock to a Magpul, swapped out the stock trigger for a JP, mounted a Burris 3-12 XTR. Except for having to sand down the rough edges on the mags to eliminate feed problems I've had zero problems. Shoots sub MOA when I'm up to it. I use it out to about 800 meters.
