Chronograhed a couple of 32-20 loads today from my Uberti 73 short rifle.
7.3 grs. of Lilgun with a 120 gr cast bullet from Big Sky components gave an average of 1307 fps.
Next up was 20 grs. of Olde Eynsford blackpowder and the same bullet trotted over the screens at 1315 fps.
I had just a few winchester factory loads with the 100 gr jacketed bullet and they were surprisingly a little slow at 1127, and they had about a 50 fps spread.

That Winchester ammo is ~800fps out of my 6" S&W .32-20HE with ~50fps Standard Deviation.
My D032 loads with 3.8g behind a 115g bullet are right at 926fps 21fps Standard Deviation

I was surprised by the extreme spread on those factory loads. The Lilgun loads were about 20 fps and the 3f were about 15. I think with a little tinkering with that 3f load the spread should get down well under 10 fps.

32-20 is a neat cartridge. Glad you are having fun with yours.

Yessir it is a fun lil rat. I foolishly traded a model 92 and a colt off several years ago. Good thing was I still had all the reloading stuff. Lesson learned , never ever sell or trade guns..
