Does any company make a commercial .32 SWL or H&R mag shotshell cartridge? I can load these, but i.was wondering if there was a commercial option.

None that I have ever seen, and I have looked for every flavor of 32 ammo on the market except for 32-20 and 7.65 French Longue. I have loaded some #6 in 32 mag brass with cardboard cards over a pinch of pyrodex. Was just as weak as it sounds, and dirty to boot.

Never seen any factory loads for 32 revolver rounds.

Curious how you are loading them, if you have.

Something I've tried with some success, size zero pill capsule. From what I remember the smaller "body" side of it fits, the cap that slips over is too big and buckles a bit when inserted.

These aren't perfect because if they get wet they disintegrate, but do work just to plink with. Clear nail polish on the case mouth crimp keeps them from slipping out. They group about like most other small shot loads, past 10-12 feet is useless. Also, I only tried it with #9 shot I dumped out of 12 gauge shells, never tried the #12 thats usually used.

I made some in 32 Long and 32 H&R. On the 327 Fed Mag I used a card over powder and a gas check crimped on top, it has enough case to get a reasonable amount of shot inside with fast powder.

I haven’t yet, but shotshell loading kits are available. https://www.sagesoutdoors.com/32-caliber-shotshell-wad-kit/

I might have to try some.

I’ve made shot loads for my Ruger Single-7 .327FM.
I used wads cut from primer sleeves with a punch set I bought at Harbor Freight.
2.7gr of Bullseye and sufficient #9 shot. For thicker wads, corregated cardboard or discarded wine-box cardboard works great.

Works about like a .38spl shot load.

I’ve experimented with .30cal gaschecks. They work, but if I’m going to “waste” two $.04 gas checks, I’ll put them on cast bullets!
A .32S&WL likely won’t hold enough shot, especially as large as #6 to be meaningful.

I just loaded the .327 to try them. I’d rather just use a 90gr TLSWC or 93gr RN. In a .32SWL over 2.2gr of Bullseye or HP38, It’ll do just fine on most pests.
If I need a shotgun, I’ve got plenty of those, too.

$6.50 for 50 wads and gaschecks is highway robbery!

Get you a gasket punch set, a board and something plastic, then you can punch out all the over and under shot cards you need.

No need to form straight wall rounds, so nothing to do there. For most of them you can just use a larger caliber, round nose bullet seat die to form the roll crimp on top.

I use an extra 45 ACP seat die for the crimp on my 380 ACP shot shells. The plastic is from common packaging. Figured, as stout as it seems getting into stuff, it would work well, it does.

#12 shot is what I use.

I think, if I were to buy something to put on top of shot loads, I’d just buy a box or round balls to put up there.

I use 2 gas checks for my Nagant shot shells.
Like West Kentucky, they were a weak waste of primers.
