Hello. I’m trying to locate some 32 s&w (short) brass to reload. Does anyone have any intel?

also, can brass that’s been reformed to load 32 S&W into 32s&w blanks…. Can the process be reversed? Can a blank cartridge be once again used in regular ammunition? Thanks in advance

I am not sure if your looking to make blanks or use the brass from them. Not sure if blank brass can be repurposed. However, .32 S&W Short seems to be one of those rounds that most shops have a dusty box of on the shelf. I have seen it at a few LGSs and shows lately. What I did during the recent shortages for .32 Long. Found loaded ammo at pre pandemic prices.

If the blanks have been loaded with a wad and roll crimp on the top you might be able to reuse them. If they have a star crimp like a shotgun round they will not work and when tried the mouths will split if you got any neck tension. Some have cut down 32 long brass but you will have thick necks. I have 200 or so that I scored on gunbroker a few years ago but I paid $.40 each at that time. Check with Magtech or Starline as both make special runs of things that are not popular on occasion.

Thanks very much. I’m looking to reload regular ammo, so this advice is helpful. The blanks I’ve seen are roll crimped but pretty aggressively. Part of what drove me to post here is that Starline very recently switched the status to not available/no back order, so I’m thinking they’re done with this cartridge for awhile.

if anyone is interested in selling me some new/used brass, I’d happily pay for it. These old calibers are fun to shoot and it’s great to keep them alive as long as we can.
Best
Tom
