Does anyone reload .32 S&W? Favorite loads, what dies do you use etc.

I have a S&W .32 Double Action 4th Model in excellent mechanical condition and am starting to reload. Factory ammo is so expensive that I hate to shoot it, and if I reload the shorts I can shoot them in my I-Frame also.

I have a set of 32 ACP dies and the shell holder from my 32 Long die set. I will find the data I have later for you.
ETA: I use a 95 grain LRN bullet and a max load of Trail Boss using the method in the reloading manual to determine max load for one of my loads.

Much appreciated!

AA #2, WST, and N310 are all very good for .32 Long, so should work well in .32 Short. I use a dedicated die set for both .32 Long and .32 Mag, but I imagine you can get by with a .32 ACP set, depending on the make. Lee uses the same sizer for .32, ACP, Short, Long, etc. That would work. It's not optimal for all though.

One other load is 1.4 grains w231/HP38 with a 85 grain LRN. It is a max load----from the Lee reloading II book.

The sizer is the same but the expander and seating die is too short. At least this is the way it is with the Lee brand dies.

My Ideal #38 book (1951) shows for the Ideal #313249--87 grain LRN bullet the following loads. They are all MAX loads.
1.3 grains #6---710 FPS Estimated safe load
1.4 grains Bullseye---725 FPS
2.0 grains Unique---830 FPS Estimated safe load
