327 and it's untapped potential...

any cal that mimics an existing cal that never took off probably wont. We never went anywhere with .30Carbine, why expect we would with its twin? Unless a manufacturer is willing to make a dedicated frame for it, like a 5 shot ultra compact, or top break, it will never take off. Its a shame. Imagine something the size of an old .25, in .327. I have only seen .38 frames in that range. A proper scale 5, or 6 shot would sell.

Something usually overlooked in the .327’s favor is the simplicity of case prep vs the .30 carbine. I’m unaware of any short barreled, lightweight application of the .30 Carbine such as the SP101 or its various competitors offerings. That’s probably in large part due to the crimping limitation of head spacing on the case mouth. So, I wouldn’t exactly say the .327 FM is the twin of the .30 Carbine. Their similar ballistics not withstanding. By my last count there were 8-9 different firearm platforms currently on the market in .327 FM.

Get a three-five inch barrel revolver. As a kit gun this caliber has a lot of potential.
