I noticed that when my 336 fails to eject that the bolt loses its' grip on the brass and the brass falls down on top of the next round before reaching the ejector. It does this fairly frequently, and this is a new gun. What is causing this and what should I do?

Thanks,
Shane

Something is defintely 'odd' with that extractor.

Is this with one brand of ammo, or a particular lot, or all? Sometimes, ammo cases can be a bit "out-of-spec".

If not ammo lot specififc, a call to Marlin is in order.

My Marlin Model 30A had problems with one particlar lot number of Winchester ammo, but after I used up that box, no more troubles.

Thanks guys. The problem occurred with three different types of ammo. It looks like I will be calling Marlin. I hate it when a new gun doesn't work right:banghead:.
