Pretty sure it was an L frame. Saw an early production one at a gun show and thought that was one fine looking .357 Magnum!

All of these are .357's, even though only two are magnums

Yep... depends on what kind of spin you want to put on it!And, looked at another way, all are .38s if you measure the outside diameter of the case.
