When I got it I was 15, had a job and had a Herters "C" reloading press. If I wasn't working I was loading 357s or shooting them. I wore the original hammer and trigger out and replaced them. It's in need of that again soon but I shoot my Smiths more now and it rests in a safe!
A few 6 years ago there was a dealer on gunbroker that had Uberti Hombre's (in both 45 Colt and 357 magnum) for $250. Shipping and transfer brought them to $280, IIRC. I bought one in 357mag and hind sight being 20/20 wished I bought 2 in each caliber. While the finish is blah the gun it a joy to shoot and one of my favorites.
My budget doesn't currently allow it but I'd love to pick up a pair of Uberti El Patron's in 45 Colt. At $385 + shipping and transfer, this is a steal of deal: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/780742271
I added a 5.5 inch .357/9mm Blackhawk to my collection yesterday.I think it goes nicely with my .357 Henry Lever action rifle.I purchased the flat-top model with the medium frame.
