I decided to get out my ol Big Bore 94 and shoot a few rounds. I had a half a box left and it shot well.

When I looked, i only had about a dozen Hornady 3705 FP bullets, and would like to find somebody who has more, and some brass.

Anyone know anyplace? Can't find them no-where.. Hornady has temporarily suspended production on that bullet.

Got the powder and primers, but man,, didn't know that stuff was getting so rare....

Ideas?

It will come back eventually after all,the panic buying has subsided and the factories can start making something other than 223 and 308.

I bought a 94 Big Bore last year with bad bluing but a nice bore...and then discovered nobody has brass in stock.

I formed some brass from 30-30 just so I could shoot it. I also invested $20 in a Lee 250 grain mold for the 38-55 and I shoot reduced load cast bullets in mine. I'm told you can use 38-55 brass, as long as you don't load it up to full 375 power levels, but this is just something I read on the Internet and I wouldn't do it without verifying it first.

Somebody said Starline has 38-55 in stock.

Once in awhile, Midway has the brass, might check Cabela's also. I got a Big Bore 94 about 15 years ago, I saw the brass for sale on Midway, bought 8 boxes of it, why?, I don't remember. The bullets used to be found fairly regular on some websites, haven't looked recently. I've reloaded Hornady's 220g RNFP w/Reloader7 powder, makes a stout load too. Good luck

Yes, the 38-55 case is the parent case of the 375 Winchester. They are slightly longer so you will need to trim them down after fire forming.

The 30-30 cases are not a good choice because they are too short and are not made to withstand the pressures developed by the 375 Win. (not that the 38-55 will take the pressures either)

I just got an email from Hornady that they have 38-55 brass in stock. You cannot load to 375 Win. (To thin) Levels but the 38-55 is plenty for deer.
