And if you could buy CCI/Speer shot capsules.

They have been unobtainoum for about five years now near as I can tell.

I'm out of .38/.44 & .45.

And can't find them in stock anywhere.

How do they work in larger calibers? Good for snakes? I tried the .22 ones some years ago and thought they were just hot enough to piss off a sparrow. What's the spread and effective range?

Threatening snake range in any caliber.

I blew a snake in half a couple of years ago at about 5' with a CCI .22 shot shell out of a .22 rifle.

The larger calibers in handguns are effective on snakes out to 10' feet or more.

The smaller dust shot is more effective then larger #6 or #8 shot.

The tiny #12 shot shorts out a snakes nervous system to the point they don't even twitch.

They are ideal for vermin control inside farm building and such where you don't want to shoot holes in the siding, or $40 grand bull or tractor parked outside!!

I did, almost 40 years ago. Still got most of them. If you feel like getting up close and personal with a poisonous snake they work just fine. What I found was sand/dirt splatter from a close solid bullet hitting the ground did about a much damage as bird shot. Not to mention actually hitting the little bugger directly.

As to property damage, not a concern if death is the only other option.
