what manufacturers make 158gr LSWCHP +P loads
i know about remington winchester and federal but is there anyone else?

which one is the best (most consistant accurate etc..)?

ive heard of non +P loadings but cant find them who makes those?

is there a better loading for a LCR for personal defense than these?

and last anyone know where there may be some in stock (online)?

thanks in advance

p.s. i have been useing hornady customs up till now but i cant find those anymore so thats why im looking for the change

In a short barrel like the LCR, the Remington is the way to go due to greater liklihood of expansion (softer lead, all else being equal).

I have boxes of the Federal version laying around due to a bulk buy, but I keep the cylinders of my 2 and 3-inch wheelies stoked with the Remington loading, FWIW.

If you are starting your stash from scratch and have a little extra cash laying around, here is one very attractive option for feeding your LCR long-term:

+1 That is what is in my S&W 637 snubby, located in a secret place in my house. The Speer +p 135gr Gold Dot SB gets a lot of favorable comment also.

Cordially, Jack
