.38 Spl +P carry ammo deals?

Ammoman has 500 of the 125gr Speer GD +P (not Short Barrel) for $179 or 500 of the Federal Classic +P 158gr LSWCHP for $149.

Does anybody know of a better deal on .38+P carry ammo? I want to buy enough to allow me plenty of practice time with my carry load in my 442.

In my experience with my 442, I like to practice with "light reloads" or "cowboy action loads". Practice is very necessary, but practice with +P rounds is a bit fatiguing. Shoot 50 rounds of "cowboy" loads, then end the session with 10 rounds or so of +P, just to give yourself reassurance that you can hit the target just fine with your carry rounds. I just got some Winchester 158 gr. LSWCHP +P for mine. I shot 5 into a 4" target from 12 feet, and that was...good enough. Remember, shot placement is your primary concern. A standard .38 special has what it takes to stop a threat if placed properly. NailGun.
