Hello all, I'm new to both this site and to posting threads in discussion forums. I'll try not to foul things up.
I've recently purchased a .38 S&W SPL short-barrelled revolver from a pawn broker, and I'm trying to get a year of production on this rig. I've read some threads and I assume from the "K" stamp that it was a Military and Police model. Next to the "K" is an "A" and below the foot of the "K" is a half circle with the number "4" inside of it. The model# is "36" and the numbers stamped above those letters is "72588" The serial# on the bottom of the handle frame is "446470" The finish is blue, the handguards are wood, and the barrell is 1 7/8"
Can anyone help me get an idea what year and in what location it was produced? I'll scratch your back in return, if I can.
