Gloob, what revolvers are you referring to?
My S&W's and Rutgers all have threaded barrels and frames.
You are confusing the uber tight interference fit of newer (cheaper) manufactured revolvers barrels vs. the older pinning method used by S&W.
Interference fit induces "thread choke" or squeeze to the throat of the barrel.

I have a Glock (owned several others-past tense!), no way they'll shoot close to my revolvers, cast or otherwise.
I did have to do some radical fire lapping to my Ruger Single-7, however.

as a FYI
You guys do know the 9mm is a tapered case?
The Lee 9mm FCD only sizes the base of the case. It doesn't affect the neck OR size down a bullet in the neck. It's not quite the same as a FCD for a straight wall case like .38spl, .357mag, .44mag, .45acp, ect.
True if adjusted that way, you can also adjust it to crimp the neck and with to much crimp the bullet. I like the FCD in 9mm and pretty much use it all the time.
Like all dies it needs to be adjusted correctly....
Dardas Cast bullets offers soft round balls for slugging barrels

As mentioned earlier 9mm bores tend to be all over the place. You want lead bullets a hair larger than the bore dia. .355 bore .356 bullet etc.

Side note: I have a Hornady resizer and a Lee resizer I prefer the Lee

I agree, and have posted such. It crimps fine, I just don't care for the "post sizing" part.

IMHO the post-sizing ring in the FCD can create as many problems as it solves. Here's a round where the ring appears to have wiped the lead down over the case mouth, buckling the case in the process. This was discovered when it jammed a competitor's gun during an IPSC competition stage. It took him a frustratingly long time to clear this round. I picked it up while scoring.

If you use the FCD and like it, then that's wonderful and I'm very happy for you. I'm simply pointing out that it's simply not the "miracle cure" panacea it is generally presented to be.
