New to caliber.
Started reloading for it with Hornady Hap bullets, bought both 115 and 124 grainers.
Using Hornady's latest reloading manual the Interesting thing is the 115gr. Hap's have a recommended O/L of 1.245, conversely the 125gr. Hap's are listed at 1.210 O/L.
115gr. bullets measure .537O/L and the taper begins at .280.
124gr. bullets measure .575O/L and the taper begins at .313.
So I gotta ask What. :scrutiny:
By the way the 115grainers at 1.245 gave me feed problems in both my pistols.

First, you can load the bullets to any length you want. They just have to fit in the magazine and chamber and feed reliably. If you seat them deeper, reduce your charge weight.

Otherwise, what's your question?

Question is. What is Hornady's thought process regarding the conflicting O/L lengths.?
