38 Super lead, truncated cone for 357 Sig

[I need some advicc from those of you who load and shoot a lot of 357 SigB][/B]

I have been loading 357 Sig for my Glock 20 with a threaded KKM fully supported, button bored,conversion barrel. I want to load some 147gr or even 158gr lead bullets to use with my supressor. Traditionally I used 125gr sj or fmj loaded to 950-1000fps. Most of the jacketed or plated bullets are .356 so I am being overly cautious

Ive come across a source for 38 super truncated cone that are the correct shape and OAL..and have an OD of .357.

Does any body have any experience with a high pressure load like this and lead lubricated bulletts, If so I would reall like to hear your experience.

I've been veryfortunate. In th past20 years I've loaded 20,000 rounds of 125 grain 124 grain and no KBOOM and only5 squip rounds. I sent a communication to KKM last week but have not heard back from them.

If I remember right, glocks have that polygonal rifling, and it presents certain challenges while shooting lead bullets.

As far as shooting them through the suppressor with a light load they wouldn't be an issue otherwise. I've shot tons of lead in my XD-357. The only concern I would have at that point is lead accumulation in the suppressor if it is not of the type that can be broken down.

Also, the lead bullets are always cast .001-.002 oversized. Leads softer and forms into the rifling easier than the jacket will.

The problem with 147's and the sig is the COL is too long. I am loading 357 sig on the bench and I could not find a 147 bullet that I could get a good bite on the shank.

In the end I just went by to 125 grn LRN's.
