.380 ammo shortage

Wow, thank God I've collected up a bunch of .380 brass and bullets! I have a 2 gallon bucket completely full of cleaned and polished .380 brass, several hundred bullets of various flavors, and a couple quarts of cleaned brass already primed and ready to load. And a hundred of those white ammo boxes w/styrofoam trays for .380/9mm from Midway.

Then there's my stash of brass, primers, powder and bullets for .45acp, .40 S&W, 9mm Luger, .38 Special, .44 mag, .30-06, 7.62x54R..........

And all those empty GI ammo cans........

Now, if you could only get PRIMERS .... :banghead:

I'm a little confused about what I said that got my previous comment deleted from this thread.

It didn't strike me as controversial in the least.

For any who say there isnt any out there, just check gunbroker. It is being bought up and then resold at a substantial increase. I just got 200 for $20 per pad of CCI. No you cant reload it.

I've seen 380 ammo available at a number of places in our town. I personally bought some at walmart for $15 a box of 50. The local gun shops have them here and there. I saw some this past weekend at one of the shops. Price is a little high; $25-$27 a box of 50. But it is available.

The shortage of reasonably priced ($12-15/50) .380 range ammo locally, has caused my to hold off buying a P3at or LCP until this fall:( The idea of a new pistol in the safe and not being able to shoot it is NOT appealing to me in the least!
