Matt, generally accepted by who? W231 is not a very fast powder.

At that charge weight what type of pressure signs are you seeing? I'm sorry but I can't see any 38 S&W brass showing pressure signs at that low a charge and pressure/velocity.

I suggest spending some time on google, its where I found much of my load info (some nice posts on this forum). but some sources I can recommend are the Speer loading manual, Hodgdonreloading.com, and Lee's reloading manual.

as for you not being able to see brass showing signs of high pressure from this cartridge/gun combination... well I cant help you. hand load for a Webley and you will be able to tell by looking at the brass when things are getting a bit too hot.

No need to list data sources, I have more manuals from present going back over 50 years or more than I know what to do with many online bookmarks. I wasn't asking you for sources, I was asking which sources you were quoting.

I also asked what pressure signs you were seeing and you tell me you can't help me and tell me to load for a Webley to see. How do you know I already don't and for an Enfield too? You claim you can see pressure signs from a cartridge which generates only 12k psi and they tell me you can't explain it. Really?

You sir seem to be one of those who ask for help and then argue when you don't agree with what you hear. If I'm wrong I apologize but it's sounds like it to me.
