If you had to pick one of the four options above for concealed carry what would it be?

I know I've left off the XD, I've shot one and just didn't like it. I know they're good guns, it's just not for me. Also left off Kahr, too much $$$.

I'm considering the four options in the poll and have shot 2 (the Smith and the Glock).

S&W M&P 40c: I like the feel and it seemed really accurate. I live in Atlanta and all of the LEOs I know carry the full size M&P 40 and they seem to like it.

Glock 27: Didn't like the grip on the Glock as much as the S&W but I like the reliability and heard the 4th gen Glocks may feel better. Also, it's easier to find accesory items for the Glock. I'm a lefty so that would be good for me when trying to find holster options for carry.

Sig P239: I haven't shot the 239 but have shot a 226 many times. My dad owns a 226 in 9mm and it was the first semi-auto I ever shot. My dad is a Sig fan and his 226 has worked well for him over the years. The 239 is the most expensive option so I'd have to buy it used. Single stack should make it easier to carry.

CZ 2075: I've never shot or even handled a CZ but I've read tons of good things about them and it sounds like they have really high customer satisfaction. I'd definitely be able to handle one before buying but might not be able to shoot it which could factor into my decision. The CZ is probably the main reason why I'm posting this thread because I don't think I'll be able to shoot it but want to compare it against the other 3.

Thanks in advance for feedback!

I'd go with the 239, even used. They usually aren't shot as much as the double stack models cause they require more mags and effort to reload.

Fantastic weapons, though.

I really like my Glock 26. I know you're going with the 40 cal and I'm also considering the upgrade to the 27 except the ammo is so much more expensive. Choice 2 would be the Sig. Good luck!

i am a fan of glocks, but only in 9mm, and not the "baby" glocks at all, so that is a no for me. I would go with an m&p. I hate that you did not like the xd, That of course is always my first choice, as mine has ran great with over 18,500rds through it, but since you specifically said no to that, the M&p gets my vote.

I am a fan of Glocks and especially the baby Glocks. G27 with Pearce +1 mag base is the favorite for carry/travel. It shoots as well as the full size G22 and I practice with much cheaper 9mm using Lone Wolf conversion barrel (the factory G27 magazine works fine with 9mm).

I am also a fan of M&P (have full size in 40/45) but G27 has been so well proven for us (both my wife and I shoot well with it) that it is her favorite pistol she can shoot with confidence (she hits whatever she points at).

I would endorse either Glock or M&P for carry.

Carry my 239 nearly every day. Reliable and easy to carry in a nice form fit DeSantis 2 position holster.

I have carried both the P239 and the G27.

I much prefer the P239 for CCW because the slimmer profile is SO MUCH more comfortable.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. For IWB carry do most feel the 239, being slimmer, is much easier to carry than the other options? Do many of you carry the S&W, Glock or CZ IWB and if so, how easy is it to do. I'm 5'11" 190lbs. so I'm not a huge guy if that makes a difference.

I recommended the G27. It's the smallest and lightest while still being a very shootable gun. The M&P40C would be my second choice, it's nicer to shoot than the G27, but larger and heavier. If that's worth it, I'd say go with the M&P40C.

My primary CCW is a Glock 26 that I carry IWB in a galco triton holster.

I vote for the Kahr CW-40. I'm sure i see it on that list there. It must be there. Surely you've considered it if you're willing to go with a single stack autoloader. :)

I had the M&P. I sold it and bought a Kahr PM40. I loved the Kahr but wanted to put a grip mounted CT laser. Not under the trigger guard. I sold the Kahr and got a used P239. No more trading. It's exactly what I wanted. It eats up my carry ammo and doesn't beat me to death. I use 155 gr GDHP loaded at the upper level. I've chronoed them at 1285 fps.
