.40 S&W bullets suseptible to setback?

Just as a precaution, I never chamber the same round more than 2x. If I have to clear the chamber (say, when I field strip the gun to clean it), I take the ejected live round and place it in a special bucket.

After awhile, I have a dozen or so SD rounds in that bucket, I then use it up in the range. This is my way of practicing with my more costly SD ammo.

All rounds are succeptible to setback with repeated chambering. The problem with .40 S&W is that this spikes the pressure curve to sometimes dangerously high levels. Most other cartridges operate at either lower levels or have enough case capacity to offer a little more "forgiveness" when setback eats into case capacity.
