40 S&W Bullseye loads?

For full power loads, most will suggest Unique or slower burning powders for 40S&W and I would agree.
Although current load data for 40S&W loads are available for Bullseye, you'll find the loads quite stout and very snappy in recoil to be comfortable.
For lighter target/plinking or match shooting loads, faster burning powders like Bullseye, Promo/Red Dot, Green Dot, Titegroup, Clays, W231/HP-38, etc. will produce mild to moderate recoil yet accurate loads depending on bullet weight/powder/charge.
For me, I need to push the lighter 155/165 gr bullets at high-to-near max load data to produce more accurate loads but this will generate more snappy loads. If you want less snappy recoil, heavier 180 gr bullet with start-to-mid range load data with moderately fast burning powders like W231/HP-38 will produce very manageable recoil and very accurate loads. If you haven't tried W231/HP-38 and 40S&W, I highly recommend it.

I use Bullseye 5.0 gn with Berrys 165 FP

Also 5.0gr Bullseye with 165gr plated bullets, and seated as long as my mags will take (Glock).
I have had great success using Bullseye for my plinking rounds in a SIG P226.
180gn Bayou Bullets TC - 4.3gn Bullseye at an OAL of 1.130 gives me about 980fps, low recoil, and very accurate.
170gn Missouri Bullet Company SWC, same load as above getting 960fps with very low recoil and amazing accuracy.

Bullseye and Titegroup will produce slightly more accurate loads than W231/HP-38, but I prefer the milder recoil and broader load range that are very usable.
I don't mind the high-near max load data 9mm Bullseye loads that produce snappy firm recoil but prefer mid-high range load data 40S&W W231/HP-38 loads with less snappy recoil and less pressure issues as they don't hardly bulge the cases.

I prefer 5.0g VV N320 with a 180g bullet head. Clean and accurate.

Don't rule out HS-6 for .40S&W, IMO great powder and is real accurate. I currently load 6.7grs of HS-6 with berry's 180gr FP bullet. Nice target load and does not have that snappy recoil that the .40 S&W is known for.
Just tested a batch of 180g Bear Creek Moly coated RNFP over Bullseye in a 4.25" M&P40.
"Full house" load was 5.0g Bullseye 1.135" COL (.280" seat depth). Predicted pressures were 26,250 psi (25% below SAAMI max), predicted velocity was 1002 fps.
Actual velocity averaged 992 fps ES 9 fps, SD 4.3 fps. Moderate recoil, and lighter recoil than 6.0g Power Pistol which generated only 962 fps. Also shot some with 3.8g Bullseye and those averaged 850 fps with an even more gentle "springy" flip.
While Bullseye is a denser powder than Unique or Red Dot which will spill over with a double charge, a double charge (10 grains) of Bullseye will definitely be noticeable unless you use an automatic bullet feeder so I don't find it risky to use.
