40 S&W Pitbull

Love my .45 Pitbull. I would be totally down for a .40. I traded off my last semi auto .40 a few years ago, but I still have 200-300 rounds knocking around.

Wonderful gun with a very novel yet reliable way to shoot rimless cartridges without moon clips. If pressed to decide between my 1911 and my Pitbull, I would most likely keep the Pitbull. The .40 has interested me as a nice trail gun for larger critters for awhile. Im more heavily invested in .45 though.

Still, I would put the .40 Pitbull up there as a gun i would snap up in a moment of weakness.

I’d like a range report when you get a chance to run her. I’m a 40 S&W fan as well.

Nice. There's plenty of 40 cal ammo in my area, the guns are pretty scarce though. But hell, they are scarce just about everywhere.

I did some trading with the private owner on the
Charter Arms 40 S&W ... Its hard to find anything in the stores

I've been seriously considering buying one soon. I haven't seen one here locally, but also a huge fan of the .40cal with plenty of ammo to cycle thorough it. Prolly gonna have to make a road trip to pick one up...I just don't mail order guns and deal with all the fees and possible problems.
Hope you have fun with it, and a range report would be nice to hear.

This is second one I have owned ... the other I bought when they first came out .. I had it for 5 or so years .. ran quite a few rounds through it .. I traded .. I think for a Marlin 336 in 30-30 ..
I have shot this one .. mostly to check function ..10 rounds of 180gr FMJ .. recoil was there .. point of aim was spot on

I will have one of those after I find one at a low enough price.
Years ago used ones were going for around 300 on gunbroker. Haven't bothered looking at them lately, I'd rather have the .45 Pitbull.

You caN find them $400 - 440 before shipping
I have a Pitbull in 45 ACP also
The 40 is built on the Bulldog Frame the 45 ACP is built on the XL frame.. which is close to a K frame , but more compact .. and sports a cylinder which diameter is slightly larger than a L frame
Im a fan of Charter , I own 8

Im thinking that Charter is going to build a 6 shot
40 S&W on the XL frame

I traded a used Glock 23 upper for mine .. I had a extra ...
