40 S&W potential

I was having a conversation with some family members during dinner today and we were talking about reloading the 40 S&W. I couldn’t remember all the facts so I thought I would ask here. How hot can you reload a 40S&W?

Close to the 600 ft lb area depanding on the load.

Any problems or safely concerns making it that hot?
