Hello y’all. Looking for a 400 corbon case gauge, this has to be the hardest gauge to locate no one has any. I have been using my barrel as a gauge and as much as I enjoy building and working on a 1911 pulling the barrel out gets to be a pain. I really like shooting this round even though it’s kind of tricky to reload them reforming the 45 case and the other steps needed require a lot of attention to die setup. My Dillon 550 press gets the job done. So if anyone has a case gauge or knows anybody that has them for sale please let me know. Thanks John

I do a lot of case forming (7.62x40WT from .223Rem, 35Rem from .308 with head reduction, 358Win from .308, etc) and once the process is set I've never needed to use a barrel as a case gauge.

If you do find a gauge, don't assume it's a close match to your chamber. . . most gauges are near-minimum, and most chambers are mid- to max- or thereabouts.

Thanks most of the 400 corbon I reload fit and fire without any problems. But there are some that don’t most of the time it’s near the base of the casing most likely caused by being use in a pistol with a worn chamber and the resizing die doesn’t get down that far. So I check all of them John.
