For small whitetails to huge mulies, I use a 210gr.JHP and about 18 to 20gr. W296 depending on which .41Magnum I'm hunting with a the time. I move up to a hard cast 250grWFNGC for large stuff like elk and large wild hogs with about the same powder charge. Consult a current reloading manual for more information.:D

H110, the #41000 XTP-HP bullet, and the .41 magnum caliber seems to be a match made in heaven.
You didn't specify whether you were shooting it in a carbine, SA ruger revolver, heavy DA revolver like the smith, redhawk, or dan wesson, a light revolver like the taurus, or the big desert eagle.
Loads that I have shot for years with zero problems in my blackhawk would likely take my taurus apart in short order.
The exact load would depend on the model of your gun, and your individual gun.

41 mag

I still have some Keith designed .41 mag molds I made back in 1979 wehen I was a Saeco distributor. An Alaskan customer advises me he uses 2400 with a 220 gr lead SWC bullet for his bear and moose meat and he likes his 41 because he feels it is more accurate and gives him one shot kills. A West Virginia customer uses his for deer and I will ask him for his load.

I have a friend who is known for his production of Keith style bullets that he hand casts. I will be shipping him one of my few remaining 41 mag molds and you might try some bullets from Creeker [email protected] He is Dry Creek Bullet Works.

My 76 Mold customers liked the 41 as they felt it was lighter weight, easier to carry, was flat shooting and more accurate than the 44 and with little if any concerns about recoil with the 220 grain bullets.
