I am a new cowboy silhouette shooter and have a Marlin 1894 Cowboy chambered for .41 Mag. I have not been able to find tested data for lower velocity loads to use for this game ( I do not need the higher velocity/higher recoil .41 mag loads ) when using the .41 mag case and the 225 gr. rnfp. In the absence of tested load data how much below the lowest .41 mag reload data found published in the reloading manuals can one go to safely start working up a load like this? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Welcome to THR, grnhd.

If you go to www.hodgdon.com, you will see some lower velocity loads for the 41 Mag. Your exact bullet is not listed, but if you use the data for a heavier weight bullet, you should be able to safely put a good load together for your current needs. I'm not sure what the requirements are for loads used in Cowboy shoots.
TrailBoss looks to be a good choice and is popular in Cowboy shoots, from what I understand.
You didn't mention any powders that you may have in stock.
