I've been looking around for an hour or so and can't find anything... maybe I'm being lazy but was wondering if anyone here can help me out in finding a reliable pressure rating for a .41 magnum winchester silvertip. If you can I'd really appreciate it. Also if anyone knows of the lowest pressure commercially available (meaning I can just order it and not load myself) .41 magnum round. I'd appreciate some numbers with this. Thanks guys/gals!

all I've been able to find is a max pressure rating for the .41 magnum round, I'm guessing that's pertaining to handloaders and just how hot they can load it. I am having a hard time finding pressure ratings for existing cartridges.

A call to Winchester would likely get you a definitive answer, but my own experience with the 175 grain Silvertips gives me cause to suspect that the operating pressures for that particular round are on the low side of spec...like the old lead SWC "Police" loading which was a 210-grain lead bullet at an advertised 970 fps, but in real-world chronograph testing didn't usually average much more than about 900 in several 4-inch Smiths that I shot them through. Still packed a respectable wallop, though.

It's fairly mild compared to the full bore 210 grain JSP/JHP offerings.
