Hi folks,
I bought some 1/5oz slugs and 000 (three ball) buck, both in 2-1/2" length. The buck is MUCH heavier, and it got me wondering about the effective range versus stopping power of each. It seems to me that one (relatively light) slug at 1800 fps might fell small game at longer distance (50-70 yards), while the three-ball buck might be better for moving targets at sub-25-yard ranges.
I'd love to hear your thoughts. Ballistics is not my strong suit.
Thanks!
Spaz
