Indeed!
I load my own. I use a .45lc case and large pistol primer. I use ~5.0gr of Bullseye powder, and card wads cut from cardboard with Lee .452" sizer die/punch.
I insert card wad over the powder, fill to 0.10" from case neck. Place another cardwad, and crimp in place with seater/crimp die.
Holds approx 0.4oz of shot (just under amount of 2.5" .410 shotshell).
Patterns wonderfully and I've taken an assortment of garden pests including some squirrels (legal in my area, generous season).
I've used #6 thru #9shot. For snakes, rats ect at short range the #9's pattern best. For larger game use #7.5.
They work very well through my .410 o/u, and of course for close range snakes/ect from my Ruger BH .45colt.
