.44 Mag out of a 12 Ga

it would have to be horrible machine work to "bounce" in your barrel there would be a safe tolerance of nearly 12% in a 20" barrel, a decent machinist would have a tolerance with alum billet of less than .01%. I'm a novice on the lathe and by my calculations there is no way I'm bad enough to make one that would damage my guns.

"...would bounce all over the shotgun barrel..." Yep. It may be for .44 mag shotshells though. For somebody who's afraid of Kaa and doesn't want the noise of a regular shotshell.

I've actually played with a bunch of these things.

They're pretty cool, they work with full power pistol rounds (not just shot rounds) and they have a short section of rifling to give the bullet a little spin.

they can cycle in a pump action, and they hold up pretty well.

the scary part is that they are acurate out to about 25 yards and with reduced power loads they are very quiet.

These one of a kind adapters allow you to turn any 12 GA. Shotgun in to a Rifle instantly!

Uh, no ... this adapter allows you to turn any 12 GA. Shotgun into a snub nose pistol with a LONG barrel shroud instantly.

So if shooting a shotgun with one of these had a significantly quieter report would that mean the barrel of the shotgun just magically became an unregistered suppressor? :uhoh:

ive used the 38spl/357 mag adapter. havent used the 44 mag one yet.

the pistol cartridges work fine in shotguns. they do not bang around exiting. they are accurate to pie plates at 50 yards but the drop is considerable so you have to adjust. yes, they are slightly quieter but i think thats cause the noise is all going away from you. they are by no means quiet enough to not want earplugs.

i had a few that were really old messed up looking cartridges and i guess the powder got wet or somthing so the powder failed to ignite. primers went off but powder didnt and those were really quiet, but had a range of about 12 feet before landing. they practically rolled out the barrel. it was pretty funny.
