44 Magnum options

My Anacondas have been shot waaayy more than a few times and will clean up to look nearly like new. I have the boxes, cardboard sleeve, paperwork and all that jazz, but the simple fact is they were shot when I bought them, so I see no need to keep not use them. The only way I am going to hurt the value is to break one, which is highly unlikely and a risk I am willing to run.

I love this revolver! For heavy magnum loads it still snaps my wrist back but I was surprised that I was easily able to go through about 60 (that was all I had) without a problem. As some people mentioned, you do have to watch the placement of your weak hand on the rear side of the trigger guard or it will bite you. Not really an issue after it happened once and I learned where to hold it.

Any one of you have a recommendation for a replacement front sight? That is my only real complaint. It is just a solid black front site that doesn't contrast well against anything that isn't a solid white target.

go to walmart and get a bottle of white auto touch up paint. paint the front sight ramp. if white doesn't work for you, just get another color. i currently have a florescent pink front sight on my single six. paint will peel off if you don't want it there.

Love owning and shooting this Freedom Arms 44 Magnum, best trigger on any firearm I ever had. Thought about putting a scope on it, my eyes are not what they used to be.

You won't go wrong with a Smith or Ruger. I like shooting Smiths better because of their lighter single action triggers.
Raging Bulls are the best of the Taurus line for whatever that is worth.

I was kind of thinking along those lines but it just seemed wrong somehow. I guess if I hate it I will be replacing the sight anyway so.... :)

Congrats on a fine revolver. It'll serve you well, I'm sure.

In the spirit of camaraderie, here's one of mine, just like yours, except a little darker:
