Over the years I have read about how devastating the Glaser Safety Slug is in its potent .44 Magnum loading yet the only test I have ever seen was a single plastic gallon water jug...and that was eye opening indeed.

With both Blue and Silver versions of the .44 Magnum Glaser available it seems like the ideal pair of defense loads that could be used interchangably as they have identical bullet weights and ballistics. The Blue version would serve well for those minimal penetration situations while the Silver version could be used more as a street load as it penetrates glass and barriers better with about the same lack of richochet and overpenetration problems that the Blue version has always exhibited.

Has anyone actually shot the Blue or Silver versions of this load into ballistic gelatin or hunted game with them?

No one else?

I can't believe no one else has ever wondered about this enough to do some experimentation.

Anthony,

If you use the search function you will find that prefragmented rounds are generally frowned upon, and with good reason.

Its a VERY popular topic that comes up time and time again here.
