I talked with a cop friend this weekend about using frangible ammo for SD. He gave the big thumbs downbecause of poor penetration. It is true that the heart and brain are not very far in the body, but they are protected by bone. If it only penetrated 4 1/2 inches of geletin, I seriously doubt it would go through a persons skull. Human bone is a lot stronger than many give it credit for. I have personaly witnessed a 5.56 riccochet off of a mans forehead.
