I load this for my 44 specials. One to the middle of the chest makes the bad guy think a little and also it makes a nice round hold!

Nice round fatcpa! What weight is that? You should find a smiley face punch for those. Could you imagine the look on the Goblin's face when it sees those looking at him from the cylinder?

The weight depends on the alloy I use, but it runs 240-245 grains with Lyman #2. I got the mould couple months ago from Accurate Molds, LLC. I actually bought it thinking the bullet would make a good round for shooting bowling pins. Haven't had a chance to try it on them yet.

Buff Bore has a 190 gr. soft lead HP that looks real nice for killin', as Elmer might have said.

Too bad they say not to shoot it in the Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Special Revolver. :(

fatcpa, I have used those on bowling pins and they work VERY WELL. I also think they would be a very effective antipersonnel round. Even with a vest on those would have to do some rib damage or maybe even deflate a lung. They are a favorite carry round for my 696 and Charter Bulldog.

Here are the ones I shoot out of/carry in my Bulldog:

They weigh about 185 grs. and at around 900 fps make recoil a teeny bit more controllable.

35W

Nice. I thought about a lighter bullet when I bought my mould, but I am usually swayed toward the heavier bullets. Looks like my crimp could be a little heavy too, but, again, I tend to overdo most things.

I am positively a heavy bullet advocate, but after a few dozen 260 gr. SWC's I'd had enough and started looking for a lighter bullet. The amount of recoil generated by a 21 oz. 44 Special is something to behold.
