Anyone here use Power Pistol in 44 magnum loads?
I shoot 240gn and usually use Unique for low-mid loads and W296 for top end loads.
I have nearly a pound of Power Pistol that I use for 45 acp and some 45 super loads, and it seems like it would work for 44 mag in the 900-1200 fps range, but it's a little hard to find published data.
Seems like pressure would be similar to Unique for a given charge weight, But who knows.
Just curious about it as my supply of Unique gets lower.
Does anyone here have experience with it in 44 mag, or have a source of published data? Thanks in advance.

Alliant’s website has loading information only for 200 and 210 grain bullets in 44 magnum.

I’ve always interpreted that as a strong hint.

I use that powder only in 44 special cartridges where it seems to excel.

Typically alliant uses power pistol for jacketed bullets only. They list:
13.5gr 240gr jacketed soft point 1400fps for a max load in a 6" bbl

I've burned a bunch of power pistol in the 44mags using 12gr & a 245gr keith style cast swc

I did find data in the 2005 alliant guide showing a max of 13.5 with a 240jsp @1400fps, as mentioned above.
Also found this article from handloader magazine suggesting a max of 12.5 with jhp.
Seems that around 10-11 grains for
~1000fps would be a fine, safe plinking load.

One of my favorite .44 mag midrange loads is 10 grains of Power Pistol under my own cast RCBS 44-250-K bullets. More accurate than I am, and my chronograph shows they're more consistent (smaller ES and SD) than any load using Unique that I've tried. I also love it with midrange .357 mag as well.
