45-70 \ 405 gr. remington JFP \ 4198 users?

i;m looking for a 1450 -1500 fps load from my 22" 45-70 NEF handi rifle using the remington 405 gr. JFN & 1 of the 4198 powders. none of my manuals have data for this combo. i;d like to hear from as many of you that use these ingredients and your findings, recipes, results & opinions. thanks much

Let me see if I can help with some info that is close to what you're looking for. Speer has data for a 400 grain Flat-SP using IMR 4198. They show a load of from 36.0 grains (1368 fps) to 40.0 grains (1596 fps). This is out of a Marlin Model 1895. Sketch of the bullet used shows it to be jacketed. All the other load data I have from other sources is below or above the fps range you're looking for.
