How about making it rifle length -- say 20" barrels, with a .22 LR upper and a .410 lower? Add a detachable or folding buttstock, and you'd have something like the old Savage Model 24.

Or how about giving it 18" barrels and making it into a new version of the old Springfield Armory M6 Survival Rifle?

Not a bad idea -- although I'd go with a more conventional trigger instead of the original "squeeze trigger."
