.45 Super Ballistics

A bit ago I started working up loads in .45 Super for my .45 ACP Enfield carbine. I'm currently getting 1-1.5 inch groups at 50 yds. and 2-3 inch groups at 100 with 9.5 grains of Power Pistol and 230 grain FMJ bullets. A friendly load with absolutely no signs of over-pressure. Can someone tell me the ballistic calculations for that load; pressure and Ft.Lbs.?

Guess I'll have to borrow a chrony. Is there any way to guess-timate using the known info?

Not unless you tell us the barrel length of your Enfield carbine.

If that were known, someone here with Load-From-A-Disk software can come pretty close.

Power Pistol is as good as it get for 45 Super...but the 45acp (and 45 Super) don't get much help from barrel length past 6 inches or so.

Your load is likely running right at 1,150 fps. (+ or - 50 fps, depending on chamber and bore specs)

I get 1,000 fps from 8 grains of Power Pistol fired from a 5 inch XD. (230 grain XTP's)

Quickload says 27958 psi, 1382 fps, 976 ft-lb. Used default 1.275 OAL.
