If anybody between Omaha and Des Moines is looking for an ROA or two; I saw a couple at a gunshow at the Atlantic (Iowa) Fairgrounds, and it's going on tomorrow as well. Blued, I want to say the barrels were 4-5/8-inch-ish. I wasn't paying that close attention; my son-in-law and I were too busy looking for something as close as possible to a 4" K-Frame .357 . That seems like a simple task but I didn't know until this week that "...they don't make 'em anymore." Apparently S&W got a new legal team, which seems to have decided that a K-frame .357 is no longer safe. Hmmmmmm.... where did God-knows-how-many PD's and County Sherrif's Offices go wrong in the 60's and 70's???
Anyway, those ROA's were there. If I remember correctly, they were in the row of tables closest to the outside wall of the room, amongst a bunch of Blackhawks and Redhawks. And tell Mark that the guys who were such PITA's (mostly the old gray-headed guy in the palm leaf Stetson) and still bought his lone Model 66 say "Thank you!" He saved the bacon of a picky woman's father and husband
