.454 Casull loadings

.454 Casull Swift A Frame 325gr hollow point.

Swift Data shows IMR-4227 starting at 27.9gr and maximum at 30gr.
I started at 28gr and maxed at 29.8gr.

The cases were awful full and I'm pretty sure they were compressed even at start load. The Lee press didn't struggle to load them.

Anyone load this? Going to shoot in a S&W 460 XVR, so I feel the gun will be fine, but the data didn't say anything about compressed loads.

Also, loaded some 300gr XTP-MAG Hornady and it was full, but not compressed.

Hodgdon's online manual lists the max load for the 300gr XTP-Mag at 31gr C which would be compressed. I would compare the two bullets if the Swift is longer you may have a compressed load, but I would think that of Swift's load manual doesn't kits it as compressed it isn't.

If you can find Lil Gun you might want to give it a try. It has become my go to powder for the 454
