.458 Lott question

I know the Lott can also shoot .458 Winchester Magnums, can the Lott also shoot....

Now, what are you going to DO with that information? It is not as though you are likely to be trekking across the veldt and run out of Lotts and the Indian store have .458 Canadian and not Winchester.

Something I was told when asking about 458 lott chambers shooting 458 win mag shells is that the shorter shell will make erosion occur quicker.

Basically it cvan be done in a pinch, but not something to do very often.

I heard that it was completely safe to shoot .458 Win. Magnums in .458 Lotts without any trouble.
Can somebody elaborate?
