A local shop has a new Hi Point carbine in .45 on the shelf at under $300. Anyone have one yet and, if so, what do you think of it? Do they use 1911 mags, or is it a unique Hi Point mag?
Ugly guns, but it looks like it could be fun.
Thanks.

i have one in 9mm and it used the hipoint mags, i knew for a while HP was thinking of bringing out the 45 carbine but i guess they finally did.

anyways dam good guns, ugly as sin, but mine has over 10,000 through it since the last time i cleaned it and it still runs just fine. im trying to break mine though lol

The carbines are fun, but they feed off of propietary mags. World-class warrantee, accurate, and adaptable, surprisingly good.

You can modify 1911 mags to fit. Check out youtube there are a few vids on there that show you how to do this.

I picked up a Hipoint .4acp Carbine last month, put a cheapo Barska red dot on it and it is real accurate out to 100 yards. Now I have a Hipoint pistol and carbine, 3 mags all in 45acp. Bought the pistol from a friend for $175, got the carbine new for $295 so I am under the $500 mark for the set. These are my Jeep guns.
